Picking the right homecoming dress

Homecoming is as American as apple pie and baseball - and high school and college kids all around the nation are already planning what they'll wear to the big game and the dance that follows. Whether you're an aspiring homecoming queen or just a wallflower who wants to make some jaws drop on the dancefloor, we can help you find the right dress for the occasion.

Not sure which color to go for? Try looking to your school's colors for help. We're not suggesting that you dress like a cheerleader - but a crimson gown for a school whose colors are red and gold is an easy way to win a few hearts and show your support for the football team, whether or not they won the game.

When it comes to deciding between a floor-length gown and a short party dress, only you can decide which look is right for you. A formal gown with a hemline that grazes the floor is a surefire way to feel elegant and fashionable, but a short dress allows for more flirting and dancing. If you truly can't decide, consider a high-low look that lets you have the best of both worlds.

Whichever dress you choose, the most important part of homecoming is being true to your own style - and having a great time.
