Fall's hot color - purple

Fall weather is rolling in around the country, which means it's time to put away those sundresses and bring out your best autumn looks. Summery pastels and sky blues are out - rich, deep colors are in for fall. And the hottest color of them all? Deep purple.

Purple is the color of royalty, and with good reason. This rich hue is the perfect way to bridge the gap between warm, sultry summer and breezy autumn. With a variety of shades from puce to lavender, you can find a dress to suit any occasion - day, evening, formal or semi-formal.

Heading to a daytime wedding? A light, cool shade of amethyst is perfect for an afternoon event. Going to an evening soiree? Try a deeper shade that's sumptuous and rich - one that will compliment the oranges and reds of the trees' changing leaves.

If you don't want to wear a purple dress, you can incorporate it into your outfit in other ways. Purple heels add a pop of color to any outfit, while purple jewelry is a subtle way to add a bit of bling. And don't forget about purple lipstick - a unique and sexy way to show off the season's hottest hue.
